Richmond County Crime Stoppers tip line that a resident inside the city of Hamlet was growing marijuana.

Hamlet Police went to the residence on Sunday. After further investigation a search warrant was obtained for the residence. Several marijuana plants were seized from the residence along with other drug paraphernalia. The following subject were arrested. The Hamlet Police Department was assisted by Richmond County Sheriff’s Office in the joint effort.

Winford Hugh Brigman, 55, and Linda Brigman, 44, both of Hamlet, were charged with manufacturing a controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.

Both received a $5,000.00 secured bond and are confined in the Richmond County Detention Center.
