Hey Rockingham, here that thunder?

You do if you’re in the downtown area at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service is forecasting thunderstorms and high winds this evening, through 7 p.m., in a slow-moving storm across Richmond County.

As of 5:05 p.m., the rain is falling hard and the temperature has dropped about 15 degrees in the past 35 minutes.

Batten down the hatches, folks!
