Officers with the Rockingham Police Department on Monday arrested Danielle Jaris Jones, 20, of Cauthen Drive, after she allegedly called 911 on Saturday to report a bomb threat at Bojangles fast food restaurant on Highway Business 74 in Rockingham.

According to online court records, Jones was charged with one felony count of making a false bomb report at a public building and three misdemeanor counts, including one count of assaulting a government official or employee, one count of resisting a public officer and one count of injury to real property.

Police said Jones assaultedĀ an investigator when she punched one detective in the head. She also is accused of damaging a wall inside the Rockingham Police Department’s interrogation room.

Authorities said there was no evidence Jones had made an attempt to carry out the threat.

Jones is being held at Richmond County Jail on a $5,000 secured bond. She’s scheduled to appear on June 26 in Richmond County District Court.
