NETC to hold scholarship drawing at homecoming games

CHERAW, S.C. — Northeastern Technical College will be holding special prize drawings at local high school football games in upcoming weeks to give away $300 scholarships. The scholarships can be used by students of all ages to apply towards college credit and/or continuing education (non-credit) classes at any NETC campus or online.

Football Scholarship PicAnyone can enter to win a scholarship by completing a registration card, which will be distributed and collected during the homecoming games of participating schools. The scholarships will be non-transferrable, with an expiration date of 36 months following the award date. One name will be drawn, and winner announced, at each school, prior to the end of game.

Northeastern Technical College offers hundreds of college credit classes, for those seeking an associate’s degree or students who are interested in transferring to a four-year college or university. In addition, NETC’s Division of Continuing Education has many programs designed for people looking for short-term classes to develop new job skills, advance in the workplace, or even for personal enrichment.

High school junior and seniors can apply the scholarship towards dual enrollment/credit courses being offered at NETC, their school, and/or online, to help jump start their college career.   To learn more about how junior and seniors can earn college credit while in high school, contact NETC’s Dual Enrollment Coordinator at 843-921-6995 or speak to your high school advisor.
